However, the season was not without its controversy again. For the second straight season, two islanders were removed after their past use of racial slurs on social media was discovered. One original islander was dismissed prior to the premiere and another girl was removed during Casa Amor.

There were also heated confrontations, including the most explosive Casa Amor recoupling ever, the girls fighting for respect, plus criticisms from fans about the lack of bombshells and overall exploring from the islanders. Through it all, some of the couples might have found love. It has all led to the season finale.
