New Arrests in Coulthart Homicide Case
In a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the Coulthart homicide case, two more individuals have been arrested for their alleged involvement in aiding Isabelle Johnson, the suspect in the murder of Jason Coulhart. These arrests mark the fourth and fifth charges filed in the case, as reported by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
The latest information reveals that Michael Ray White, 74, and Kathleen Morris, 59, both from Santa Rosa Beach, were taken into custody on Friday. They are accused of accessory to a capital felony after the fact and obstruction of justice. According to the report, White knowingly helped Johnson evade law enforcement between June 25 and June 30, 2026. Initially, White denied any knowledge of Johnson’s whereabouts, but later retracted his statement and admitted that she had visited his residence multiple times during the specified period.
White also provided shelter to another suspect, Martin Leaverton, who was staying at the home with Johnson. He supplied them with necessary supplies and helped coordinate her move to a second location. Morris, who lived at the same address, was arrested after admitting to transporting Johnson, supplying her with essentials, and misleading deputies about her presence at the residence.
The Leavertons, Martin and Sandra, confirmed that White and Morris had knowingly assisted Johnson in evading law enforcement. They also admitted to retrieving Johnson’s belongings, providing her with a cell phone, and attempting to secure an out-of-state refuge for the suspect. Both Martin and Sandra are currently being held at the Walton County Jail.
Discovery of Jason Coulhart’s Remains
Jason Coulhart’s remains were discovered on June 25 after two independent statements led the Niceville Police Department to a body found on Sunset Lane in Freeport. The discovery prompted a residential search warrant to be executed on the same day, leading to the identification of the remains.
An arrest warrant for Johnson was issued on June 26, and she remains at large. Authorities have described her as dangerous and have urged anyone with information to come forward. Individuals are encouraged to contact the Walton County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 892-811 or reach out to Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at (850) 863-TIPS.
