DeLand Teams Put Out Residential Fire

Residential Structure Fire in DeLand

A residential structure fire occurred in the 900 block of Cascade Falls Lane around 3 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The incident prompted a swift response from local emergency services, including members of the DeLand Police Department and the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency Response and Rescue Efforts

An officer from the DeLand Police Department and a deputy from the Volusia Sheriff’s Office entered the burning structure to rescue individuals who were inside. Their actions were critical in ensuring the safety of those trapped within the home.

Injuries and Medical Attention

According to a post on the DeLand Fire Department’s social media page, one minor, along with the officer and the deputy, were transported to a local hospital for treatment related to smoke inhalation and minor burns.
