ABC is celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with a special 24-hour programming event titled “Disney Celebrates America.” This multi-platform broadcast, hosted by ABC News’ “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir, will cover all 50 states starting on July 3 at 7 p.m. PT and continue through July 4.

The event will feature coverage that highlights the 7 Wonders of America and various cities across the country. Viewers will be introduced to the majestic geography, cultural heritage, and pivotal moments that have shaped 250 years of American history. The programming will also include celebrations, performances, and interviews with notable figures in the news industry.

ABC30 is playing a role in this television event by taking viewers from around the country to Yosemite National Park through special stories presented by Action News Anchor Vanessa Vasconcelos:

Yosemite National Park: A Source of Inspiration

Yosemite National Park continues to inspire artists with its breathtaking landscapes, towering granite walls, and flowing waterfalls. Nature photographer Marc Bouldoukian describes the environment as a classroom, where visitors can learn about the beauty and complexity of nature.

A Taste of Yosemite History

Visitors to Yosemite National Park can experience a piece of history at The Ahwahnee. Chefs there have reimagined a menu discovered in 1929 and now serve it as a prix fixe meal, offering guests a taste of the past.

The Majestic Sounds of Yosemite

From the powerful roar of rushing water to the soft whisper of grass moving in the breeze, immersing oneself in the sights and sounds of Yosemite is an awe-inspiring experience. The natural symphony of the park offers a unique opportunity to connect with the environment and appreciate the beauty of the natural world.
