U.S. Senator Dave McCormick has unveiled the complete agenda and speaker lineup for the 2026 Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit, which will take place on July 14–15 at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle. The event will feature former President Donald Trump as its keynote speaker.

The two-day summit is expected to bring together senior government officials, military leaders, and executives from the defense, technology, and finance sectors. McCormick’s office mentioned that significant investment and partnership announcements are anticipated during the event.
High-profile Speakers
According to McCormick’s office, Trump is scheduled to speak on July 15. Other notable speakers include:
- Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine
- CIA Director John Ratcliffe
- Army Secretary Dan Driscoll
- Air Force Secretary Troy Meink
- Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday
In addition, prominent business leaders such as:
- JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon
- Lockheed Martin CEO James Taiclet
- Northrop Grumman CEO Kathy Warden
- General Dynamics CEO Phebe N. Novakovic
- Arm CEO Rene Haas
will also participate in the summit.
Tuesday: Industry Day
The summit begins on Tuesday, July 14, with remarks from McCormick and Maj. Gen. Trevor Bredenkamp, president and commanding general of Army University.
“Industry Day” will include panels focused on defense acquisition, workforce development, and partnerships between Pennsylvania companies, the military, and government leaders. A Pennsylvania Trade Show featuring companies from across the state’s defense industrial base is also scheduled.
McCormick’s office stated that Gen. Dan Caine will deliver a keynote address focusing on the future of the U.S. military and Pennsylvania’s role in the defense industrial base.
Wednesday: National Security and Innovation
Wednesday’s agenda will center on advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies, culminating in keynote remarks from Trump.
McCormick emphasized that the summit aims to highlight Pennsylvania’s role in defense manufacturing and innovation while fostering collaboration among government, industry, and academia.
“Pennsylvania has everything it takes to lead the next generation of American defense,” McCormick said. “I’m proud to bring together leaders, innovators, and job creators from across the country to strengthen our national security and create good-paying jobs across the Commonwealth.”
Traffic Restrictions
North Middleton Township has issued advisories for residents regarding temporary road closures, traffic restrictions, and delays around Carlisle Barracks during the summit.
Key road restrictions include:
- Post Road: Closed to all traffic starting at 10 a.m. on July 13. It is scheduled to reopen at 8:30 a.m. on July 16.
- Claremont Road: Temporary restrictions on the section between Army Heritage Drive and just beyond Louther Street during the following times:
- July 14: Between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m., and between 4:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- July 15: Between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m., and between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses in the affected area, but additional restrictions could be imposed on July 15 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. if needed. Officials encourage motorists to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes when possible.
