BETTENDORF, Iowa – Several sections of two local roads will be temporarily closed for street resurfacing work starting on Monday. The closures are part of a planned maintenance project aimed at improving road conditions and ensuring safer travel for residents.

Magnolia Drive will be closed from Magnolia Court to Summit Hills Drive, while Harmony Drive will be closed from Hillcrest Avenue to Olympia Drive. These closures are outlined in a recent Facebook post shared by local authorities. Residents and commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid disruptions.

During the construction period, only local traffic will be permitted on the affected roads. This restriction is in place to minimize congestion and ensure the safety of both workers and drivers. The project is expected to last between four to six weeks, depending on weather conditions and other variables that may affect the timeline.

As the work progresses, officials have stated that the contractor will determine the next location for resurfacing. Once this decision is made, the city will issue further updates to keep the community informed. Residents can check official channels, such as the city’s website or social media platforms, for real-time information about the project.

The resurfacing initiative is part of an ongoing effort by the city to maintain and improve its infrastructure. By addressing road wear and tear, local leaders aim to enhance the quality of life for residents and support economic growth in the area.

For those who rely on these roads for daily commutes, it is recommended to explore alternative routes or adjust schedules where possible. Local businesses may also experience some impact, so it’s important for them to stay updated on any changes that could affect customer access.

In addition to the road closures, residents should be aware of potential noise and dust from the construction site. While these are temporary inconveniences, they are necessary steps toward long-term improvements. Officials have emphasized their commitment to completing the work efficiently while maintaining open communication with the public.

Overall, the project highlights the importance of infrastructure maintenance in supporting safe and reliable transportation. As the city moves forward with these efforts, it is hoped that the improvements will benefit the community for years to come.
