Sheynnis Palacios, the former Miss Universe, has officially moved on from her past relationship. In March, the Nicaraguan beauty queen confirmed what had long been rumored: her relationship with Carlos Gómez had come to an end. Now, it appears that her single days are over as she has gone public with a new romance, sharing loved-up photos with her new boyfriend. Along with the sweet snapshots, Palacios also had a pointed response for her ex after he posted what many interpreted as a message directed at her.

Going Public with Her New Relationship

Over the weekend, Sheynnis shared highlights from a trip to El Salvador, where she traveled to celebrate a friend’s birthday. During a boat outing, the model stunned in a white crochet dress, but it wasn’t her outfit that caught everyone’s attention.

The final photos in her Instagram carousel showed her smiling in the arms of a mystery man on the deck of the boat. “Just like that,” she captioned the post.

Although she didn’t tag him, fans quickly identified the man as Carlos Arias, a Salvadoran basketball player. He was in the comments, adorably writing, “My favorite place has a first and last name.”

Arias later confirmed the relationship on his own Instagram, sharing several photos of them together, captioning it “I found a peace that feels like home.” Sheynnis replied simply, “You.”

The following day, Arias posted more photos of the pair enjoying a beach day and cuddling beside a bonfire. “Just the ocean, the sunset, and the right person. An incredible place to completely disconnect with your favorite person,” he wrote.

She was in the comments again, writing, “One of the most beautiful weekends.” The affectionate exchanges and supportive comments from friends and family, including Arias’ brother, Alejandro Arias, who wrote, “Long live love,” left no question that they are happy and in love.

Her Ex’s Post

After news of Sheynnis’ new romance spread, her ex-boyfriend Carlos Gómez shared a cryptic message on his Instagram Stories. “Sometimes the truth just needs time,” he wrote alongside a selfie.

Although Gómez didn’t mention Sheynnis by name, many followers interpreted the post as a subtle dig at his former girlfriend following her relationship reveal.

Sheynnis Responds

Palacios appeared to confirm that Gómez’s message was about her when she posted her own response on Instagram. After sharing more photos from her trip to El Salvador, she wrote: “Stop using a story that’s already over to keep the spotlight on yourself. I’ve already closed that chapter. And I didn’t even need to tell THE TRUTH.”

The message made it clear that, from her perspective, she has moved on.

She Previously Addressed the Breakup

In late March, Sheynnis first spoke publicly about the end of her relationship with Gómez during an appearance on En Casa con Telemundo. “I’m truly in a stage of my life where I’m single, and I’m happy,” she said at the time.

She also reflected positively on the relationship, saying: “I’m grateful for the process I lived through in that relationship, where I grew, where I loved, and where I gave my all.”

Palacios added that the relationship ended in what she believed was the healthiest way possible for both of them. “Everything has an ending, and that chapter came to an end. Now this new chapter of Sheynnis begins.”
