A Glimpse into Ali Larter’s Family Life in Idaho

Ali Larter, known for her role in Legally Blonde, has always been a private person, but recently she shared a rare look into her family’s life through an Instagram carousel. The post, titled “Epic 4th in the Mountains!” showcased her family’s adventures during the Fourth of July holiday. This glimpse into their lives highlights how much they have embraced their new home in Idaho.

Relocating from Los Angeles to Idaho

In 2020, Larter and her husband, Hayes MacArthur, made the decision to move from Los Angeles to Idaho. This change marked a significant shift in their lifestyle, as they now live in a more rural area surrounded by nature. The couple has two children, Theodore and Vivienne, and they’ve found that life in Idaho offers a different pace compared to their previous city life.

Spending Time in the Great Outdoors

During the Fourth of July, Larter spent quality time with her family in the great outdoors. The Instagram carousel featured beautiful images of the mountain scenery, which is a highlight of living in Idaho. She also shared photos of activities like fishing and river rafting with her husband and kids. These moments reflect the kind of family-oriented lifestyle that many people dream of.

Embracing a Simpler Life

In an interview with Fox News earlier this month, Larter spoke about how her summers have changed since moving to Idaho. She described her current lifestyle as “totally different” from what it was in Los Angeles. “We love to barbecue at our house. We love to play with our dogs. My daughter will probably play some volleyball. We’ll go to [local ice cream parlor] Leroy’s and get an ice cream cone,” she said.

The actress also mentioned that the long days, with the sun setting around 10 p.m., have allowed her to spend more time with her children. “It’s just kind of simpler, and the days are really long. The sun’s out till like 10 at night now, so it’s been really beautiful to kind of have the kids out of school and enjoy the time with them,” she added.

Finding Peace in the Mountains

Larter has often spoken about the positive impact that living in the mountains has had on her. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal last year, she praised the “magic” feeling of being in the mountains. “When I’m up there hiking for three hours, I feel a special calmness. I feel the most in my skin now than I’ve ever felt before,” she said.

A Family of Four

Larter and MacArthur got married in 2009, and the following year, they welcomed their son, Theodore. They expanded their family in 2015 with the birth of their daughter, Vivienne. The couple has always been focused on creating a happy and healthy environment for their children, and their move to Idaho seems to have helped them achieve that goal.
