President Donald Trump recently engaged in a rapid-fire posting session on his Truth Social platform, sharing 14 posts within a single hour. While much of the content appeared to be incoherent or nonsensical, it largely avoided the artificial intelligence-generated material that has become a recurring theme in his online activity. The outburst began with a sense of optimism following a court ruling that dismissed the New York Times’ motion to have Trump’s defamation lawsuit against the paper dropped.

Trump took to social media to celebrate the decision, stating, “The Failing New York Times, after 10 years of harassment, slander, and libel, just failed again in their desperate attempt to have our powerful Defamation Lawsuit against them dropped.” His legal team is now required to submit an amended complaint by August 27, though the case could still be dismissed.

After this initial burst of confidence, Trump’s posting spree quickly turned into a series of random and seemingly disjointed updates. One of the first posts shared was a screenshot of a tweet from Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, dated July 5. The image featured Trump holding a “Gold Card” visa, a fast-track immigration program he had previously championed. This post may have been an attempt to promote the initiative, which has seen limited participation, as reported by Barron’s.

Trump’s social media activity is reportedly managed by a team of aides, with the president often giving final approval before posts are published. Following the visa-related post, he shared a series of links highlighting positive news from the MAGA community.

During the same time, Trump also shared an image of himself digging soil alongside heavy machinery at the White House, part of his ongoing vision for expanding construction projects at the executive mansion. He declared, “Taking down the scaffolding around the regilded Arts of War sculptures!” in a post that included additional links celebrating stories about himself.

The Art of War and Art of Peace statues in Washington, D.C., were restored through a golden coating under Trump’s D.C. Safe and Beautiful Initiative.

The posting session eventually slowed down and came to an end around 11 p.m. Eastern Time. However, earlier in the week, Trump had launched another intense social media campaign centered around his potential return to the White House. This included 16 consecutive AI-generated or AI-altered images that reflected his idealized version of reality.

The spree started shortly after 11 a.m., when Trump posted an AI-generated image depicting CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins as Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender actress who has faced criticism from conservative circles due to her appearance in Bud Light advertisements.

This was followed by over a dozen more AI-generated images, including a cartoon mocking Bruce Springsteen and Chris Christie, a fantasy museum exhibit featuring a sculpture of Trump tossing a “Trump 2028” hat, and a painting of him wearing a “Trump 2028” hat. Other images targeted late-night hosts such as Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon, as well as Rosie O’Donnell.

July has proven to be a particularly active month for Trump on Truth Social. The day after his poorly received July Fourth festivities at his state fair, he posted 113 times, covering a wide range of topics from random photos of his family members to attacks on a federal judge.

In May, Trump set a record by posting an astonishing 861 times on Truth Social, according to the Daily Beast, which calculated that this equated to roughly one post every hour of every day.
